I have been lucky enough to see Mountain Goats in several locations all across Banff, Jasper, Kootenay and Yoho National Parks. In the original 1st edition set I did a moose for Moraine Lake and wanted to give some space between doing a moose for a pair of lakes that people often mix up. In July 2016 I ran a group photo tour and brought a photography group into the backcountry via horse back. It was my 3rd time ever on a horse and my 1st time I was on a horse I was thrown off. In 2023, while designing the second edition set of local Canadian Rockies animals, I reflected on my 2022 experience of taking the Spirit Island boat cruise on Maligne Lake. My first visit was in 2019. After living in the Rockies for eight years, I finally had the chance to see Spirit Island in person.
