Animal Adventures - Maligne Lake Moose

Designed in early 2025 for the 5th edition release.
I had been wanting to design this piece for Maligne Lake for a while. In the original 1st edition set I did a moose for Moraine Lake and wanted to give some space between doing a moose for a pair of lakes that people often mix up.
Maligne Lake is beautiful location and I can't count how many times I've driven to the lake on Maligne Lake Road and seen a moose. The most memorable moment was one winter day many years ago when we were coming around the final corner before the parking area. I knew this corner was a bit of a blind corner so I took it slow. It was good I did that, as there was a female moose and her two calves just kneeling on the ground licking the salt off the rocks on the road.
It was great to spend a good half hour watching these moose.
One more recent encounter in August of 2025. I was on the Maligne Lake boat cruise on our way back from seeing and photographing Spirit Island and off on the shoreline I saw a moving shadow. I informed the people around me who then shouted to the boat staff who slowed the boat down so we could watch the moose walk along the shore.

It was so cool to have our moose ornament with us while we were on Maligne Lake seeing a moose!
